About Tour

We offer a rest from the rush of rapid San Francisco and dive into one of the most beautiful places in North California – Muir Woods National Monument.

Muir Woods National Monument is

  • – Relict coastal redwood trees;
  • – Views of San Francisco bay and Pacific Ocean;
  • – Forrest coddled with a thick layer of sea mist;

Muir Woods has several trails that have different difficulty levels. Their total length is around 10 km. Main trails are located in an extremely refined part of the park with wooden paths equipped with railings.

You will be able to sneak into nature, walk down the beautiful trails of the woods, explore interesting plants and enjoy freshness of a real forest.

Californian coastal redwoods trees are the biggest trees on planet Earth.  Their height reaches 400 feet or 130 meters, they are aged from 400 to 700 years, some of them are even 1200 years old.

Thus, this is the highest and one of the oldest forests on planet Earth.

It’s highly likely that you will meet squirrels, chipmunks, turkeys and deer.

The main boardwalk lies along a stream that falls into the ocean that is just 3 miles away from the forest.

When the winter rain comes, the stream turns into a deep river that washes out the beach and opens the way to spawning salmon and trout.

Before the tour through the woods, we will have a whole journey, where we will visit such significant places like:

  • the Golden Gate Bridge which is one of the most recognized and beautiful bridges in the world, known by its bright color, light air-floating shape that links San Francisco with Marin County.
  • the City of Sausalito – fabulous nature, breath catching views and being close both to the Ocean and San Francisco made this town with a fancy name a capital of local Bohemia.

Our way to the forest will start with meeting at a hotel in the center of town or at Fisherman’s Wharf. Next, we will go over the Golden Gate Bridge with marvelous views of San Francisco and the Presidio.

Then we will stop at the northern viewpoint where we will have a chance to enjoy the views of the bridge and the bay plus and take some marvelous pictures to remember our small adventure.

Further down the road we will meet beautiful Sausalito and parts of Golden Gate National recreation area and Mount Talampais national park that merge with Muir Woods.

You will have the opportunity to walk down the fabulous woods trails and purchase souvenirs as well as take super photos or have a bite at a cafe with the view of that marvelous forest.

After the great views of the forest, we will drop in on at Sausalito for an hour. Lots of tourists consider that town the most beautiful on Earth.

A mountain covering it from the cold ocean winds this is why the weather here is always warmer than in the city.

Infrastructure of Sausalito is so diverse that any visitor can find whatever entertainment they are interested in: art galleries, gift shops lots of cafes with different types of dishes, restaurants and yacht piers.

By the end of such a saturated day, our driver, who hopefully becomes a friend to you by then, will take you back to town.

But for the ones enchanted by the town there is an opportunity to stay, and come back home by any of type of transportation they like whether that will be ferry, taxi or Uber.
